[RP] Turn 45 2525- Terra DC-TH

Minoru Kurita had been used to the Terran run after traveling here so many times, but this time it felt different. A few hours after landing the Coordinator of the Draconis Combine along with a few Otomo bodyguards made their way into the Hilton Head compound.

Walking up to the front desk clerk he simple said, "I am Minoru Kurita and I request an audience with Primus Mori, she is expecting me."

The Blakist sentry snapped to attention and then, slightly awkwardly said, "My apologies, sir, I had not been advised you would be visiting the conclave. Um... I'm afraid that Primus Mori-"

A Precentor in MechWarrior's robes interrupted the sentry before he could say more, "Kanji-dono," he said respectfully, "If you would follow me to the VIP lounge I will summon a senior aide to the Primus to attend to you."

[Holt]

Minoru bowed to the Precentor, "Thank you Precentor....., you may summon this aide, but time would be better spent if he went to summon Primus Mori immediately. I am not sure if you heard, but she is expecting me."

Several minutes later...

The VIP lounge had been designed with Spheroid royalty in mind, and it made a very comfortable waiting area for the Coordinator. Presently, two robed individuals appeared:

"Coordinator, I am Dwight Kernoff, Precentor ROM, and this is General Mary Durand, the head of Terran Security. I'm afraid there is a rather sensitive situation at the moment that complicates your request. Considering our government's close relations with the Combine, however, we have prepared a briefing for you. We would greatly appreciate it if this information did not move beyond the highest levels of your government."

"As I'm sure your own intelligence service has advised you, there was an incident last year in the Federated Suns where a nuclear device was detonated on the grounds of a ComStar HPG compound. This triggered an investigation that revealed a conspiracy within the ComStar organization aimed at undermining the foreign policy objectives of the Terran Hegemony. We also..."

Durand picked up when Kernoff wavered, "Coordinator, I regret that there is some evidence which suggests Primus Mori maintained an improper relationship with the Order of the Five Pillars during her tenure, and may have provided them with confidential ComStar secrets. While we have not notified the public, in order to maintain ComStar's good name and reputation for neutrality, Primus Mori is currently being interviewed by investigators at ROM headquarters in Cairo."

[Holt]

"So ka Precentor, as you know the position of the Primus has never been above secret dealing with my realm, dating back to Primus Waterly's accords with my father that led to our success in the War of 39. Of course this was before ComStar's inclusion into the Terran Hegemory. I cannot speak for my father, but you have my word I have no knowledge of her possible collusion with the Order of the Five Pillars."


"I still hope to speak with her if at all possible, she had contacted me about a meeting, which is why I am here."

[Dave Baughman]

"Of course, Coordinator," said Kernoff, "If you do not mind waiting until air transport to Cairo can be chartered, I believe such a meeting can be arranged."

"I will take my personal transport, if that is no problem; the Otomo would demand it," he said nodding to the four men that guarded him."
