"Khan Fetladral, you face Clan Snow Raven and those that we bid for possession of this planet. Any forces we send down will act with honor and to question that, is to question our honor. From the force files you have sent us, you have proven two things. One, that our estimates of your forces here were correct, and two, that our offer to trail for your forces by Galaxy were aslo adequate. Some of your 'Clusters' are little more then a Trinary in force themselves and some of your Galaxies are smaller then even Raven ones. We find that your offer to trail for individual clusters is inadequate and wasteful. It would seem that your offer would also distrupt unit cohesion of your Galaxies, something we do not wish to see happen. Our envoy lands in three hours. You have an opportunity to find a middle ground before we must insist on our original offer."

===============================================================================

Galaxy Commander Thorsten Mangus fired the first shot. "This proposal of yours is an insult to us and the Founder's ideals. I can not believe you were actually proposing this. One trail for each cluster and building on this rock? Do you realize the position your in? Or the honor we are showing you by even offering you this opportunity? When we are done, we do not stop here. We take our forces and we seek out that Terran Fleet wherever they go. To accept over eighty proper trials would be ludicrous and time consuming" Thorsten leaned back, "First take, now ... give." "We are not blind. We do see the  need for the Wolf to salvage as much as you can from this situation and we respect this negotiating tactic. We offer to cut the trials into a number we all respect, Twenty-Five. The ones that win the most, keep what they have and the planet. The ones that lose, take what they have and are granted Safcon to leave. If we can agree on this, then we can start working on what each trial will include..."

"Yes Galaxy Commander, I do realize the position we are in here.  We are the owners of this world.  Our capital.  A mass of clans, operating jointly, in violation of the Great Refusal, have arrived to try to wrest the world from us.  This massed force attempts to bully its way into dictating the terms of the trial.  This is not Kerensky's way.  You seek to gain that which is not yours.  We will defend it with the forces available to us.  The alternative is for you to use your warships to fire upon the surface of this world, in violation of the rede of your clan.  Such an act would show that you are as low as the Falcons and Star Adders.  This is not the Clan Snow Raven I have even known.  You want easy gain?  Then go face some of the other Clans.  Instead, you have challenged Clan Wolf.  Perhaps, I should counter bid that when you lose, all the forces you have brought with you become part of Clan Wolf, quineg?  Such would be a similarly ridiculous claim.  So, my defensive bid stands.  Choose to either honor your words or attempt to wrest this world from us by abandoning your honor and we will use all the force we have available.  This is our capital.  We will defend it as such."

Thorsten stood up from the table and motioned to the rest of the delegation. "I see we do not need the full forty eight hours allotted for us to do this. I know when my time is being wasted." The ravens had little with them so they were ready to go quickly. "You claim to know your position and respect our ways, but I believe you are ignorant of both. Your time away from us has taken it's toll. We will bring those that are worthy back into the fold when this is over." Thorsten shook his head.  "As far as your leadership, you have proven an unwillingness to negotiate, you foolishly make demands without the power to back them up, and you have insulted us with unfounded accusations for the last time. I shall see you soon on the battlefield." With that the Raven delegation leaves.

NVA

Turning to those around him, before the Raven's were out of ear shot, Khan Fetladral gave a single order.

"Prepare to defend our home.  Tell the technicians to prepare everything in inventory.  Warn the people that the cowards of the other clans will likely hide behind their warships, as they do not have the courage or strength of a Clan of Kerensky."

Fatebringer

When the envoy returned they reported to Bryn Cooper in the medical bay. Already there were representatives from the other Clans. A wicked smile crept on Bryns face as he looked out his good eye. The patch he wore barely covered the whole in his face from where the medics had to remove his eye. The skin littered with new metal bits showing the unfinished status of his implants. "Forgo the formalities, what is the situation?" Thorsten was staring at the man as he delivered his report. "The wolves were playing with us and made another reference to us using Space to Ground target practice of them. They would not budge on their insistance on excessive trials. When the disgraced tried to counter-bid, I nearly laughed. This man is no Khan. He has no care for what happens to his people."

"I see. Prepare your forces and coordinate with Khan Lyn CLOSELY!" Bryn looked at the Adder liason and the others. "We will send some of our ships to clearing the sky of their ships. It will be good experience for some of them. Send what you will to support them, but it will most likely be, not needed. Anything you do not send should join the blockade like with the Ghost Bears. But the Adders should keep their Citizen Wings ready for ground support. We know their Monsoon has a Santa Ana aboard her, but we do not know what is still on the ground of if they gave all of their nukes to the Terrans. I will be here until the ground forces are away."

Fatebringer

Give me a minute to see what ships will be joining the Ravens.

NVA

OKay...Round 2 of fighting <Assuming Nuke Attack was Round 1>

No need for initiative. Your Defensive Interdiction goes into place. Naval Engagement ensues to try and remove it. Please state the forces in your Interdiction. Specifics of Raven forces are being PM'd to you.

Bryn Cooper took a back stage to Star Admiral Jacqueline McKenna as she commanded her ship but he watched her carefully. "Target the Agincourt first and prepare the forward batteries. All eyes keep watch in case she fires that Santa Ana she has in her belly." Bryn noted that the nuclear missle was not listed on board when the Wolves send over their fleet information, but of course, who would? A naval Trinary of Raven Ships broke away from the fleet and move to engage the Wolf Warships protecting Tamar. Following them were three of the Adders. "Time to prove our faith in your abilities was not misplaced Jacqueline." The commander snorted at the SaKhan. "If you did not have faith in my abilities, I would not be here OvKhan. I find your playpul banter cute, but ill timed." Perhaps it was his ears, but Bryn couldn't help but noticed the mild inflection in her words. A mild seduction? After the battle, he would revisit his options after he'd was more whole. He looked down at the stump. It too was not covered in shiny bits as the med techs continued to prep his body for further work...

CSR + CSA: 568.25 FP on Naval Engagement.
Marines are present, but not listed in the FP per the new rules.

Fatebringer

Well, I don't consider the nuke attack "Round 1", but a GM prempt event, and don't know why you want init for Round 2, but I'll roll it to get things moving.

[blockquote]Rolled 2d6 : 5, 3, total 8[/blockquote]

NVA

OKay.  After much debate and frustration, I just can't see Clan Wolf going down that path.  So...

A mass of fighters raised from the surface to defend the pending attack.  The Wolf warships took up position as well.
