"We believe in our traditions very much Craig, and we have seen the failures of those who divided to much. Do not think we have not been watching, just as you have been watching what we have been doing. You claim to be a 'decendant' of Kerensky? That denotes parantage, a very Freebirth trait, even when used for such an honored name. The last time I checked, no one bore the name Kerensky that did not first earn it. But who knows what the future holds, after all, your scientists that covorted to remove that hallowed giftake from the Grand Repository are still hiding out on Circe along with your garrison there. Perhaps they intended to breed new Kerenskies without you? *

What kind of leadership does this indicate in place for the united Wolves? I am afraid tradition also dictates the outcome of your trial, not your clever wording of events as you would 'like' to see them. I can not believe that you did not realize what it meant to us when you lost to the exiled, a known abjured force who abandoned the way of the Founder. You seem all too eager to follow Marco in joining the Terrans and the taint they carry. I am certain had we gotten here a bit earlier instead of waiting up for the others, we would see how loyal you were to the Founders decree. You know, the one we all voted to continue?

In regards to the ground forces we bring. I am certain you realize that Clan Snow Raven lacks the forces to garrison all of our worlds and challenge the Wolves, so in the spirit of Clan-Intercooperation as you have seen us use  lately, we have asked other Clans, one that have not abandoned the dream of removing the taint from Terra. To be frank, they agree that to allow the blood of Kerensky's Wolves to leave here and mingle with the Terrans would be a travesty we wish to avoid. Hence our reason for being here in force. Each Clan present brings at least one Galaxy. My own Clan has brought three. But you were right. It was our hope to avoid a slaughter that benefits no one.

I think our terms are not unreasonable. A chance for honorable combat against the Clans of Ghost Bear, Jade Falcon, Snow Raven, and the newly christened Camels that have shed their dead weight of their degraza brethren. I believe these forces would match up nicely against your ten Galaxies, but supported by our Naval escorts? There would not be a place you could run as the skies go dark at the approach of the Unkindness. Your ships would lie broken in wait for our techs to fix them, and then we would be off once more to hunt down those that have no name. You would be nothing more then a  bump in the road to Terra. Consider your position carefully before refusing us chance to prove that you are still worthy of our respect, even though you have followed a different path."

* Information we got on our Intel Op.

Well, that is the difference between Clan Wolf and many of the rest.  Kerensky saw that we were able to think for ourselves.  We see the questions in the history.  We are able to think for ourselves, as others have, and realize that our historical record does not add up.  Interesting that a freeborn mechwarrior was able to ferret out what you still refuse to consider.  But, it is not our place to teach you of your ignorance.  Our warrior council will meet and decide if we will acquiese to your threat to use orbital bombardment to get us to submit.  But, it will be your clan who is seen as the next one to speak with the forked tongue of the others.  For, you clearly recognize that you cannot defeat us honorably, so you will abandon your word to stand by the Ares II agreement you signed.  I will notify you once the warrior council has agreed to accept your trials as you present.

Fatebringer

Of course, that was ooobviously the founders plan when creating more then once clan and a Grand Council for the representation of the people. That the vain Wolf should do their own thing, ignoring the other Khans and abandon his dream, because they are good at math?

Perhaps you do not read events as well as you think. Just like you trying to insinuate that our restraint and adherence to the Ares II convention was a threat. When I said our vessels escorts, I meant our vessels escorts, not our ships. Although I vouche for their accuracy, it is something we have sworn not to do.

Dave Baughman

Even as the Wolf and Raven commanders debate the Ares II conventions, someone else in Tamar has already committed to sunder them deliberately and with murderous intent. Received on all channels:

Quote

Streaking out from carrier DropShips hidden in Tamar's asteroid belt, squadrons of Dominion-manufacturer VJ-67A Värja assault fighters charge towards the Clan WarShips. As they come into range, one ship after another is greeted by the shrill howl of their radiological alarms.

Each of the 7 nuclear tokens are used for the following function:
QuoteForce a single WarShip to make a survival roll; if the roll fails the ship is destroyed even if not enough FP damage was inflicted to sink it.

And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Apollyon, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

Fatebringer

Cest La'vie, the Terrans planned this well. "Survival Roll" is the 5 or lower and we're sunk roll right?

CSRS Wild Swan (Potemkin-class Cruiser)

CSRS Treachery (Potemkin-class Cruiser)

Fatebringer

Doesn't matter as the Ravens fleet takes a pounding. SaKhan Bryn Cooper is dead. Default command goes to the ilKhan.

Fatebringer

Sorry, Ilkhans not at this one. Will be Raven Alpha Galaxy Commander Thorsen Magnus unless a Khan steps up.

Iron Mongoose

I may if the Camels show up and no one's done it yet.  We'll let the RP speak to that, once we're there.

Fatebringer

The Camels are listed as here and on Ground Support.

Iron Mongoose

True, but my mind is still back an Anteres (and in an alcohol induced haze).

Assuming we've showed up, here's Amy Lynn:

"With Khan Cooper dead, we need a warrior with experiance in both naval and ground opperations to coordanate and carry on this ground mission.  As the most tenured Khan present, that duty falls to me to command this opperation.

"All units prepare to battle imediatly.  This dastardly attack will not go unpunished. Surviving Raven star commanders, check in at once with your status."

Amy on her ship turns to her staff.  "Someone figure out what the hell that message was, and who it was that did that."

Fatebringer

OOC: I'd give Jedi a sec to A.) assess (Roll) the situation of his ship, and B.) Respond (Translate) to the message from athe attackers are they were "RasDom" vessels.

As the previous head of ground operations, Raven Alpha Galaxy Commander Thorsten Magnus will forward details to the Camel Khan and put marines out to retrieve pilots from the attack force.

Random event from Chaos Die: Before anyone in the Clan Fleet can consider attacking the Wolf Fleet, an unlikely persona takes charge. Star Commodore Lankenau of the CSRS Lord Death, known for his "erratic" tenancies, threatens to blow any force away that starts a conflict. Although currently silent, the big bores on his Aegis were speaking as loudly as anyone can in space. Soon after Star Admiral Nervis McKenna aboard the CSRS Blue Lancer puts out the order to increase the blockade until events can be determined.

#29
(A rough translation in Star League English is forwarded from KMS Leviathan's Intel Section to all Clan flagships:

Foreign Clans and false-tongued brothers, this world belongs only to the free people of the inner sphere!
Now the powers of darkness, for our motherland and our sacred honor, taste burning light of freedom!
For death or glory!)

Athena Kabrinski: (KMS Leviathan)

"The fighter craft were a model we manufacture, but lacked recognition codes. Given what the interclan watch had to say about Terran operations in this system, preliminary analysis suggests the weapons were of Wolf origin and employed by Terran agents. There is much to learn concerning how these fighters made it into Terran hands, but it is not unreasonable to assume that the Wolves acted as a conduit."
(OOC: This bit totally pulled out of my ass. I haven't been given any special intel, and I had to use a translator service to get the message above.)

"While I recognise your seniority, Amy Lynn, I am for various reasons reluctant to accept your command of this operation. Will you yield?"
